I just have to say, that while saving money is a definite advantage, my self esteem is lowered when I try to cut Taylor’s hair. I think 3rd time was a charm in tonight’s cutting adventure. I can never get those spots around his ears, his sideburns always end up a little longer than they should be and he always sees spots that stick out and I SERIOUSLY can’t see them.
I’ve advised him that he should get a professional haircut so it actually looks nice for the wedding.
Also, did anyone else get their hair cut at Fantastic Sams in their youth?
Um, have you used selective memory and forgot the kitchen haircuts?
Yes I had tried to forget, but thanks for bringing back the memory. I also remember sitting out on the back porch in Colorado doo. I can’t remember if you actually used a bowl to create the style or if it was a natural talent you had. 🙂
Yes! I remember Fantastic Sams!
Ha! The comments b/t you and your mom are hilarious. And no. No Fantastic Sams for me, although my dad used to go. I had super long and in-bad-need-of-a-trim hair in my youth – my mom would trim the ends … sometimes.
It was just natural talent. I could hold your head better without the bowl sliding around. LOL
Also, the “bad cutting of the husbands’ hair”? Yeah, um, sorry, that may be an inherited trait. Your grandfather once asked your grandmother (my parents) if I was mad at your dad after I cut his hair kinda short one time.
Sure does seem inherited. I think I may need another trimming tool for the side burns. And I tried cutting it into a style, but ended up just having to cut it short so it didn’t look all wonky last night.
LOL – poor Taylor, yep, we’ll just let him get a real haircut for the wedding.
