Last Saturday, I awoke and turned on the computer. Usually I let the computer boot up while I’m making a cup of coffee, but the computer resisted by letting out an ear-piercing alarm. Naturally, it didn’t boot up, and just continued to scream. So I shut it off.
I’m not embarassed to say that when I’m home with nothing planned, I’ll spend hours on the internet. I don’t have cable so I watch my shows online, read blogs, write blogs and just dig around for cool things. When the computer dies as mine did last weekend, you have to keep busy somehow.
Here’s what I did:
Go shopping at Target, read a whole book (Do You Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella), go through the mail from the past week, put up the Christmas tree and decorations
(that didn’t take long!!)
laundry, make fresh squeezed orange juice, make impressive citrus display
load the dishwasher, water plants, toss cruddy/separated nail polish-some of which I have had since high school!!
All before noon!!
Fortunately, we solved the computer issue quickly and I’m back in net surfing business!
