I ALWAYS get blogger’s block and can’t figure out what to write about. Then I look at pictures on my digital camera, and have tons of stuff to write about. Ok, not TONS but ENOUGH!
Anyway, I don’t know how I could forget about the day off I took a few weeks back. In my old job, even if I took a day or two off, I still had HUNDREDS of comp time hours left over. In fact, I “gave up” over 200 hours of (under the table)time that I worked outside my regular 40 hours a week when I left. Nonetheless, I’m much happier for “giving up” that time. And it has taught me to take off when I earn it. SOOOO….I took off a day a few weeks ago, and the boyfriend and I drove up north from here, just to get out of town. If I’m not mistaken, this is the same trip he told me my picture taking was out of control. I think the exact reason I was “out of control” was my desire to take a picture of the donut shop window advertising a “Chinese taco” (WTF is a Chinese taco?????)
We did see other beautiful sights including the Texas State Flower, the Bluebonnet…
The area downstream of the Sam Rayburn Reservoir….
And the Episcopal Christ Church of San Augustine, built in 1869…
Best of all, it was a WEEKDAY off of work. Nothing out of control about that!
